New Mayor of Navan leads minute's silence for victims of London fire
Cllr Tommy Reilly has been elected Mayor of Navan. The local Fianna Fail representative succeeds Cllr Francis Deane who formally handed over the chains of office today at a meeting of the Navan Municipal District.
He was supported by Cllrs Jim Holloway, Padraig Fitzsimons and Wayne Forde.
Mayor Reilly's first task after his election was to hold a minute's silence to remember the victims of the devastating Grenfall tower block fire in London where six people have been confirmed dead with over 50 injured.
Cllr Padraig Fitzsimons was elected Deputy Mayor of Navan.
