Meath theme at Leopardstown last night
There was a Meath theme at Leopardstown last night where trainers Denise Foster, Keith Clarke and Ger Lyons were on the mark.
Denise Foster took the concluding race on the card with Miles To Memphis in the Leopardstown Summer Pass Qualieid Riders' Maiden when benefiting from the departure of leader Constancio over a furlong out after hitting the running rail.
'I said I'd love to try him on the flat as he travels so well and stays and he won two bumpers easily. There was no suitable hurdles so we said we'd give it a go and I'm very happy,'commented the trainer post-race in an interview with irishracing.com
Keith Clarke's Dundalk specialist Poitin won on the grass, five wins at Dundalk, when landing the Bulmers Live At Leopardstown Rated Race.
Ger Lyons and Colin Keane took the opener with newcomer Lethal Steps which had to survive a stewards' enquiry
