Wedding day joy for European Affairs Minister Helen McEntee
Meath's Helen McEntee will be more Minister for love affairs than European ones later today as she side-lines politics to marry her long-term love Paul Hickey in a private ceremony.
The dress code is politician-free as the couple decided not to invite any of their Government colleagues, keeping the occasion for their large circle of family and close friends.
The 31-year old bride will say 'I do' to fiance Paul in her parish church in Castletown, near the village of Nobber in the ceremony this afternoon.
Their romance blossomed in Dail Eireann when Helen met Paul, the former parliamentary assistant to Government Chief Whip Joe McHugh.
A large contingent from Paul's home town of Castlecoote, Co. Roscommon travelled up for the big day.
