Belfast test for Navan
The serious business starts for Navan RFC this weekend when they make the relatively easy 100-mile trip to Belfast for a tough opening AIL Div 2B opener against Belfast Herlequins.
The Harlequins were relegated from Div 2A last season and promoted Navan will get a real taste of the challenges they face this year if they hope to make a bid for successive promotions.
Navan will be familiar with some of the other teams which include Sunday's Well, Old Crescent, Wanderers and Rainey Old Boys who Navan host in their first home game the following Saturday (23rd September).
In the Leinster League this weekend Ashbourne will be in action against Gorey in a Div 1A encounter while North Meath, Athboy and Ratoath will also kick-off their campaigns this month.
