Clonmel winner for Matthew Smith
Kilmessan trainer Matthew Smith enjoyed the result from Clonmel this evening after where Prince Garyantle won a novice handicap hurdle in fine style.
With Ashbourne jockey Andrew Lynch on board it was a real Meath success as Prince Garyantle followed up on wins at Tramore and Kilbeggan.
Lynch was clear approaching the second last and the seven-year-old, which made most of the running, won by over 20 lengths.
Another Meath success was the win of A Sizing Network which also made the running to land the Captain Christy Rated Novice Chase for jockey Robbie Power.
SLIGO
At Sligo yesterday Gordon Elliott had a double, but there was also a welcome winner for young Navan jockey Danny Hand who partnered the aptly-named Some Drama to victory in a chase - all the races were over fences - for Ratoath handler Dermot McLoughlin.
Hand and Some Drama made all the running and survived a mistake at the last with the jockey doing well to stay on board.
GORDON ELLIOTT
After the success he achieved with Labaik winning at Cheltenham, Gordon Elliott may not have as a big a task on his hands when eight-year-old Pallasator runs over hurdles. The former Group 2 winner for Sir Mark Prescott is owned by Qatar Racing Limited and will join Elliott's team of national hunt horses - but don't rule out a run on the flat either.
