1967 Meath footballer Jimmy Walsh passes away
Meath 1967 All-Ireland-winning footballer Jimmy Walsh passed away suddenly yesterday evening.
The late Mr Walsh was one of the large number of players from the 1967 All-Ireland-winning team that celebrated the 50th anniversary of that win two weeks ago at an event organised by Meath GAA Co Board.
The late Mr Walsh played football for his local club Drumree and hurled with Kilmessan. He won Leinster and All Ireland senior football medals in 1967, a Leinster Junior Football medal in 1962 and Junior Hurling championship in 1970.
Sympathy is extended to his wife, Josephine, and family.
