Cian Caldwell competed for Ireland at the Iame karting world finals in Le Mans France

453 drivers competed in total with 160 drivers (the best in the world) in Cian’s Class Junior X30. He had a very long week, free practice Saturday till Wednesday with qualifying Wednesday evening. Cian qualified 14^th in his group which left him in a great position for his 7 heats.

Heat 1, 6^th Overall

Heat 2, 8^th overall dropped front bumper gave him a 10 sec penalty leaving him 24th

These results qualified Cian for the B final with a starting grid position of 6^th, Cian race an excellent Final getting up to 3^rd for the majority of the race only to be tapped from behind on the 2^nd last lap which ran him wide off the track, Cian recovered to finish 17^th Overall, an excellent result.

Cian qualified raced and finished top Irish Junior Driver. These results would leave him top a 40 driver at this event.
