Meath based comedian Joe Rooney is not laughing after his jeep was stolen as he was working in Dublin last night (Sunday).
Joe, who is best known for playing Fr Damo in Father Ted and Timmy in Kilnaskully, is offering a reward for information on the theft.
“It was my Nissan Xtrail (Black), 08D 367.”
"It was stolen from Curzon street close to the South Circular Road and Camden St between 10.45 and 11.45.
“I had gone into a house to interview people for my podcast and it was gone when I came out.”
He explained that he only bought the jeep three weeks ago as, “I wanted the extra space for myself and also for my son Daniel (19) who is in the band ‘Modern Love,’ to bring him to and from gigs.”
Joe, who lives near Slane and who went to school in Kentstown, has appealed for anyone with information on the vehicle to contact gardai.
He also has offered, “a reward of €200 for anyone who provides information that directly leads to its recovery.”
