Joy for Mosney kids as new library opens
Meath County Council library service launched a new library for the pre-school children resident in the Mosney Accommodation Centre last week.
The library is co-funded by Cllr Sharon Tolan, who allocated funds to the project from her Municipal District allocation.
Hundreds of new books are now available to the upwards of 80 children who attend the pre-school on a daily basis.
“This is a fantastic resource for the children and staff. We are delighted to see so many dual language books and books in foreign languages included in the collection, as we have children of ten different nationalities in our classes,” said Liz Manville, manager of the pre-school.
Welcoming the new service, Barry Lynch, Meath County Council, Director of Service, thanked the library staff involved and wished many hours of happy reading to the children in the years ahead.
