There's some line-up for the for Solstice's 10th Birthday Gala Concert
Solstice celebrates 10 years in style with a spectacular red carpet gala concert. Golden Globe-nominated and IFTA award-winning composer Brian Byrne and artistic director of the newly announced national opera company Fergus Sheil will lead the RTÉ Concert Orchestra in a night of celebration and song. This special event is almost sold out with only a limited number of tickets avaialble.
Tenor Andrew Gavin has performed with Opera Theatre Company, Wexford Festival Opera and regularly appears at the National Concert Hall, Dublin. Rising star Sarah Brady is a multi-award winning soprano who has performed in Dublin, London and New York, and is now a member of the Opera Studio in Theater Basel, Switzerland. Baritone Padraic Rowan is a current member of the Opera Studio of Oper Stuttgart and has taken roles with Glyndebourne Festival, Wexford Festival Opera, Opera Theatre Company and Les Azuriales Opera in France.
Beautiful songsmiths There Is An Island will perform the world premiere of a song cycle commissioned by Solstice in honour of poet Francis Ledwidge in the year of the centenary of his death. West End tenor William Byrne will raise the roof with a selection of musical favourites and with plenty more guests such as Oisin Leech popping up throughout the evening, this promises to be the highlight of a decade of music performances at Solstice.
