Burglary foiled at Navan Shopping Centre

Two men were arrested in the early hours of this morning following an attempted burglary at Navan Shopping Centre. Gardaí were alerted by security staff at 4.10am when two men were observed on the roof. Both men fled the scene when Gardaí approached.

Following a search of the area, two men were found concealed behind a skip. Both were arrested and taken to Navan Garda Station. An inspection of the building revealed that a hole had been cut in the roof leading to a jewellery shop. Gardai say investigations are continuing.
