Navan and Fairyhouse focus at Ardboyne Hotel
A big crowd turned up for the racing night at the Ardboyne Hotel for the launch of the Winter NH season at Navan and Fairyhouse.
Irish Field editor Leo Powell kicked-off the night with a brief run down from Navan racecourse manager Peter Killeen and Fairyhouse manager Peter Roe with a focus on the forthcoming meetings at the two tracks.
“Heading into the winter season we have a fantastic line up at Navan with the Fortria and the Troytown in November and more big races in December,” said Navan manager Peter Killeen
“We are working hard to improve the customer facilities, re-furbished the Troytown Bar and we are getting good reports on that.
“We were concerned about Brexit and the impact that might have on our patrons from N Ireland, but the numbers have held up and we also get great support locally,” he added.
Peter Roe echoed those sentiments.
“We are constantly upgarding our facilities, in the last 12 months a lot of investment went into behind the scenes, we also built a new medical centre this year and new turnstiles, but our track has been well maintained,” said Peter Roe.
“The Boylesports Grand National is our flagship race, we have support from Barney O'Hare (Bar One) and locally we have support from the Cusack family.
“We are working all the time to attract customers, both at Fairyhouse and Navan, we have offers to suit everyone and we have some of the top talent in Meath, I would just urge people to get out and watch the action,” he added.
