Know The Score (RTE 1, 6.30pm)
The second season of Know The Score comes to its conclusion with a special one-hour Christmas special as Ireland’s brightest sports stars face off in the ultimate sporting trivia contest. Our national and international stars have proven themselves on the track, in the ring, on the pitch and in the water but can they hold their own in the studio? Presenter Jacqui Hurley teams up with Ruby Walsh and Shane Byrne for a festive edition of Know the Score. They will be joined in studio by four of the biggest names in Irish sport - the Dub who scored the winning point in the All Ireland Football Final, Dean Rock; Mixed Martial Arts coach John Kavanagh; star of the Irish Women’s rugby team Jenny Murphy; and the recently retired Irish soccer superstar Kevin Doyle.
The Late Late Show Dubliners Tribute (RTE 1, 9.30pm)
Thirty years on, Ryan Tubridy introduces another chance to see a show that went down in television history - the show’s tribute to The Dubliners featuring contributions from Christy Moore, U2, and The Pogues. In March 1987, hosted by Gay Byrne, the Dubliners celebrated twenty five years with a host of Irish musical stars to tell stories and celebrate the power of Irish music.
Tim Vine Travels Through Time Christmas Special (BBC 1, 7.30pm)
Master of the pun Tim Vine journeys back in time to Tudor England in a quest to find a silver lion and bring Christmas to Henry VIII’s court. It’s Christmas time at Tim’s antiques shop, and special celebrity guest Emma Bunton needs Tim’s help. Can he make this antique silver lion as good as new?

Alan Ladd and Van Heflin star in this 1953 classic Western about a weary gunfighter who attempts to settle down with a homestead family, but a smouldering settler/rancher conflict forces him to act.
