Top award for Robbie Power

Robbie Power scooped the Meath Chronicle / Cusack Hotel Group 2017 Meath Sportsperson of the year at the 11th annual awards on Friday night at the Knightsbrook Hotel.

The Meath jockey was a monthly winner for March after he was honoured for winning the Cheltenham Gold Cup guiding the Jessica Harrington-trained Sizing John to victory. 

He also won with Supasundae in the Coral Cup and Rock The World in the Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Challenge Cup. He won the Irish Gold Cup and his first Irish Grand National also in 2017.
