Armed robbery on cash-in-transit in Dunboyne

Gardaí are investigating an armed robbery outside a financial premises in Dunboyne at 2.55pm today.
 
One male armed with what is believed to be a firearm approached a cash-in-transit (CIT) staff member, threatened him and grabbed the CIT box which contained a sum of money (not being disclosed for operational reasons) and left the scene in a silver Ford Focus van 05-MH... been driven by a second person.
 
 A Silver ford Focus van was found on fire on the grounds of Dunboyne Castle Hotel a short time later. 

Gardai are appealing for witnesses especially anyone who may have seen suspicious activity around Dunboyne or around the grounds of Dunboyne Castle before or after the robbery to contact them at Dunboyne at (01) 8010600,the Garda Confidential Line at 1800-666111 or any Garda station.
