O'Sullivan plays part in defeating Scots as Toner gets ready to rumble

Hugh O'Sullivan from Kiltale played his part as Ireland defeated Scotland 30-25 in the u-20s Six Nations encounter at Donnybrook last night. 

Today Moynalvey man  Devin Toner will seek to help the men in green chalk up a win against Scotland in the eagerly-awaited senior Six Nation's encounter at the Aviva. 

Hugh is the brother of Cillian and Mark O'Sullivan who have featured for Meath hurling and football teams this year. Cillian has been selected to take on Cork in the NFL Div 2 at Paric Tailteann tomorrow while Mark has been part of the senior hurling set-up in their NHL Div 2A campaign. 

Hugh played under-age football for Meath but he has opted to focus on the oval-ball game. He attended Belvedere College and helped the school win back-to-back Leinster titles. A talented scrum-half Hugh won his first cap against France at u-20 level last month when he came on as a substitute. He started in the next game against Italy and also scored a try. 

Against Scotland last night Hugh's namesake Jack O'Sullivan from Munster scored two tries with Matthew Agnew and Matthew Dalton also getting through for touchdowns. Harry Byrne added two penalties and a conversion. Conor Dean also tagged on two points with a conversion. 

Toner has been a regular in Joe Schmidt's 53-match reign as Irish coach and the big Moynalvey man impressed in the 37-27 win over Wales a few weeks ago. Now both will be hoping Ireland can defeat Scotland today and keep their Grand Slam ambitions on track.
