Final episode of Ireland's Got Talent audition stages

This Saturday sees a special extended episode of TV3’s Irelands Got Talent, as the judges, Denise Van Outen, Jason Byrne, Michelle Visage and Louis Walsh, deliberate on the acts and decide who deserves a place in the live semi-finals next week and who gets the chop.

It’s also the final episode of the audition stages, as the remaining 12 acts of the series perform for the whole country, hoping they can make it through to the live shows.

With the five Golden Buzzer acts all guaranteed a place in the semi-finals, it’s now up to the judges to decide who gets the remaining coveted spots.

The Golden Buzzer acts are: Christopher King from Limerick, Evelyn Williams from Dublin, Linda McLoughlin from Meath, Xquisite dance troupe from Dublin and Martin McGuinness from Donegal.

This Saturday night, 17th March, is a bumper episode of ninety minutes, as Ireland’s biggest and most diverse talent search continues on TV3 at 7.30pm.

Contestants :

Daniel Kirwan (43) lives in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford. He is an Elvis impersonator and not only does he sound like him but he also looks like him. He gets all his costumes from the same factory that made Elvis’s. Daniel was born with Spina Bifida so has been in a wheelchair all his life, yet he hasn’t let this stop him follow his dreams. It’s now or never for Daniel as he takes to the biggest stage of his career.

People of a certain age will all remember the song ‘It’s ‘orrible Being in Love When You’re Eight and an ‘Alf’. It was a smash hit in the charts in 1986 and the singer Claire Usher appeared on Top of The Pops. Claire moved to Leitrim and had a family. Her daughter Sheenagh McMorrow (9) only knew about the song from her grandparents and she has decided it’s time for a new generation to hear the song. Can she achieve the same success with this song as her mum did in 1986?

Expect a head spinning performance from nine year old Gustas Geciauskas from Lucan in Dublin. Gus practises breakdancing for a whopping three hours every day. Can he spin his way into the Semi-Finals?

Izzie & Fionn are eight year old Isabella Garvey and nine year old Fionn McMarrow from Sligo. They are already champions having both won All Ireland dancing competitions but can they achieve the same success on Ireland’s biggest talent search?

Ronan Brady (30) is from Roscommon and has an unusual circus act - he will be performing in a Cyr wheel. This is a mesmerising act where he stands ‘inside’ a huge wheel and spins in all directions. Ronan has always been athletic having played inter-county football for Roscommon. Will this competitive edge be enough to impress the judges?

Not Your Regular Princesses are eight dancers from Newbridge, Kildare.  The girls are aged between nine and 13 years old and dress up like their own dolls, it’s their take on not being just pretty princesses but also a bit of fun.

Dawn Wang is originally from China - she is currently living in Cork where she is studying for her PHD in Philosophy. She certainly has brains, but does she have talent?

Dublin Ukulele Collective will be well known to music fans having played in festivals all over Ireland including Electric Picnic. The 29 piece group hail from all over Dublin. Will they impress our judges?

Sean O’Laoghaire is a storyteller from Portmagee in Kerr. He describes his act as theatrical storytelling and uses some puppetry to help tell his stories.

Andy McGranaghan is (53) from Letterkenny, Donegal. He started doing stand-up 8 years ago with his first gig in Dublin. He says he wasn’t very good but he has gained in confidence since then and you’ll find him performing regularly in The Vintage Comedy Club in Letterkenny.

Imperium is a group of dancers who all met in Maynooth University, they will be performing a jazz dance routine.

Dollz Doir is a dance troupe from west Belfast aged between 11 and 13 years old. Their dream is to one day dance with Beyonce. They are confident and competitive girls who really like to win, but can they win over our judges?
