Crews respond to Meath farm accident on tonight's 'Ireland's Paramedics'

In tonight's episode of Ireland's Paramedics, crews respond to an emergency call in Meath where a half tonne hay bale had fallen on top of a farmer in his tractor.

Arriving on the scene, the crew quickly realise that the patient has suffered neck injuries and must move fast to remove him.

Nobber Fire Service and Navan Fire Service also assist in the call.

Also in tonight's episode, in Cork intermediate care crew Ritchie and Aoife are dispatched to an elderly man who is due to be transferred to hospital for a check-up, but on arrival, things are not as they seem. 

At the National Emergency Operations Centre call takers deal with every type of emergency call, which includes talking expecting mothers and bystanders through delivering babies over the phone, and when one woman goes into labour in the middle of a shop, time is of the essence to safely deliver the baby.        

From falls, trips and spills to time critical medical emergencies, this episode of Ireland’s Paramedics is full of highs and lows.
