World record bike bid at Joe Dolan Bridge
With a world record attempt and fun for all the family, the Nathan’s Biker Buddies fundraiser on 6th May is shaping up to be a fantastic event.
The day includes a motorbike run from Dublin to Rochfortbridge via Naas and Mullingar, where the bikers will attempt to smash a world record, followed by entertainment, fun and games in Rochfortbridge.
The event is being organised by the parents, family and friends of four-year-old Nathan Keavney from Rochfortbridge as a fundraiser for Autism Ireland and the Sunflower Rooms in St Mary’s Primary School, Mullingar, where Nathan is a pupil.
Autism Ireland provides a number of services to those affected by autism and their families, including raising awareness, information on available supports, advocacy, counselling and advice for families.
The day’s events kick off at 11am on Sunday May 6 from Maxol on the Long Mile Road in Dublin, with the spin continuing via Naas and on through the Midlands. The highlight of the day will be a world record attempt at the Joe Dolan Bridge in Mullingar, where the bikers involved will do their best to set a new world record for the highest number of motorbikes on a bridge at one time. The magic number to beat is 350, so anyone with a bike is invited to come along for the spin and help make this record a reality!
Then it’s back to Rochfortbridge for a family fun day, with refreshments, music, games, facepainting, and a host of fantastic raffle prizes up for grabs. All are welcome, and your support would be greatly appreciated.
