Cannabis seized in Grange Rath

Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €80,000 were seized by Gardai in a search at a house in the Grange Rath area of east Meath yesterday.

The search was part of ongoing investigations and cultivation equipment was also recovered at the scene.

One man (40s) has been arrested and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Ashbourne Garda Station. He can be detained for 24 hours.

Investigations are ongoing.
