No live final for Fr Ray Kelly
Oldcastle PP Fr Ray Kelly wowed the audience on Britain's Got Talent tonight, but failed to make it through to Sunday's Live Final.
"I was a little disappointed, but it was a fantastic journey and don't regret one bit of it.
"The team here are so professional and caring - it is an amazing thing to be part of," he said.
The popular priest sang a moving version of Vince Gill's 'Go Rest High on that Mountain', earning him a standing ovation from the audience.
Simon Cowell described his performance as "glorious, really powerful. I really hope you make it through to the next round."
Asked about the song by judge, Amanda Holden, Fr Ray said Vince Gill wrote the song when his brother died of an overdose and Fr Ray heard it around the time his own sister died of cancer.
Amanda told him he "won his congregation over."
David Walliams said "You are a beautiful man, you've a beautiful soul and made a beautiful sound tonight."
Alisha Dixon said "you are a good guy, beautiful vocals and a very profound song."
Earlier tonight, Fr Ray told the judges his dream was to spread joy through his singing.
"Have faith in you dreams. Don't let them go. It is never too late to make your dreams a reality."
