Spirit of the Final awards presented
The fourth annual Meath Chronicle Cumann na mBunscol Spirit of the Final football awards ceremony took place at the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan this morning.
The awards recognise a player from each final who display qualities of character, skill, determination and motivation and continue to grow in popularity.
Meath Cumann na mBunscol chairman Willie Lyons congratulated the 15 recipients and highlighted the performances of each boy and girl inn this year's series of finals that were played at Pairc Tailteann in Navan and at trim GAA club.
He also acknowledged the support from Meath GAA Co Board and also from Trim GAA club as well as the initiative by the Meath Chronicle.
"The Cumann na mBunscol committee held its final meeting last week and a number of teachers contacted me to express their delight with this particular award and also to convey a sincere thanks to the Meath Chronicle for superb coverage of the finals," commented the chairman.

BOYS FINALS
Div 1 - Liam Barry (St Colmcille's BNS, Kells).
Div 2 - Cian Commons (Kentstown NS).
Div 3 - Aidan Rennie (Wilkinstown NS).
Div 4 - Billy Smyth (Rathfeigh NS).
Div 5 - Ivan Carroll (Ballinacree NS).
Div 6 - Paul Hennessy (Moylagh NS)
Div 1 Shield - Adam Doran (St Declan's NS, Ashbourne).
Div 2/3 Shield - Jack Conneely (Robinstown NS).
GIRLS FINALS
Div 1 - Molly O'Connor (St Seachnall's NS, Dunshaughlin).
Div 2 - Aideen Reilly (Kilbride NS).
Div 3 - Michelle Brien (Dangan NS).
Div 4 - Grace Rooney (Oristown NS).
Div 5 - Abbi O'Higgins (Drumbaragh NS).
Div 1 Shield - Megan O'Connor (Duleek GNS).
Div 2/3 Shield - Ciara Moonan (Donore NS).
