Navan road crash victim named
'A smile that would brighten anyone's day,' is how friends have been describing Martin Ginnelly, the hugely popular young man who lost his life in a tragic accident at the weekend.
Gardaí at Navan are investigating the single vehicle collision which occurred at Gibbstown, Navan at approximately 4am on Saturday.
Martin was fatally injured and the 23-year-old male driver was injured and has been taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
The stretch of road was closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Martin is survived by his parents Pat and Caroline, his brother Patrick and sisters Charlene and Sara-Ann, his nephew Callum, niece Maya, granny Sarah, brothers-in-law Ian and Michael, sister-in-law, Olivia..
His remains will repose at his home from 3pm to 9pm on Wednesday and Thursday with removal on Friday morning at 10.15am to arrive in St Catherine's Church, Oristown for Funeral Mass at 11am. He will be buried afterwards in Gibbstown Cemetery.
Devastated friends have been posting tributes on the 21-year-old's Facebook page following his untimely death.
Martin, from Mayo Road, Gibbstown was the front seat passenger at the time of the crash.
"A kind person who never had a bad word to say," said one stunned friend adding that he had "an infectious chuckling laugh that would make your day" ad "someone people always wanted to be around because you were such good fun."
Another heartbroken pal wrote: "You truly never know what's around the corner. Such a kind and gentle soul taken far too soon.
"The world has lost a beautiful soul," was another emotive post written as the close community struggled to come to terms with his death
