Avalanche of scores help Meath secure big win
It was all one-way traffic in Clones today as Meath racked up a massive 11-24 to 2-6 win over Fermanagh in the TG 4 All-Ireland IFC.
Marion Farrelly showed the way for the Royals with 3-3 while Stacey Grimes hit 2-3 including a penalty. Gemma White helped herself to 2-2 as did Niamh O'Sullivan while Vikki Wall and Laura Dempsey also broke through to find the net.
Meath, who were knocked out of the Leinster championship by Wicklow, were already well on their way to victory at the break when they led 6-12 to 1-2.
This was a powerhouse display by Meath who conceded goals from Lisa Marlowe and Joanne Doonan but there was never any question who was going to win.
