Trim man's preview of Canadian GAA championship
Far from home, living and working in Canada with relatives and friends former Trim GAA player Colm O'Flaherty proved that as well as being a very talented footballer he is also no slouch when it comes to the pen as his preview of the Western Canada GAA Championships was published on celtic-connection.com.
The Western Canada GAA Championships will be played by the banks of the Burnaby Lanes and will be hosted by o'Flaherty's adopted club Fraser Valley Gaels.
O'Flaherty, affectionately known as 'Flash', offers a wonderfully descriptive insight into what the GAA means to the Irish community abroad and he also recalls the poignant moment last year when Mayo man David Gavin tragically lost his life in a drowning accident on route to play in the 2017 Western GAA Championships.
