McEntee under review
Co Board chairman Peter O'Halloran confirmed at last Tuesday night's Co Board meeting that an independent review into Andy McEntee's first two years in charge of the Meath senior football team is currently being undertaken.
McEntee was appointed as Meath manager to replace Mick O'Dowd in late 2016 and was handed a three-year term with a review after two years.
O'Halloran told the meeting in Cortown GAA hall that the independent review committee were currently interviewing management, current players and players who are no longer part of the panel and that that report will be brought to the Co Committee in due process.
O'Halloran stated that he is of the opinion that McEntee wants the job for the third year of his term and he believes he will get that third year.
The chairman also confirmed that McEntee will address the next Co Board meeting which will be held in Rathkenny Community Centre on Monday 3rd September.
