It really was a Mulvany winner at Tipperary
Owned, bred and trained by a Mulvany, Silver Service won for the second time this year when landing the nursery handicap at Tipperary this evening.
A bit of variety was provided as Gary Carroll did the steering to break the Mulvany monopoly.
The Michael Mulvany-trained filly won at the Curragh last month and is certainly on the road a lot as she finished fourth in Galway
last Saturday
The daughter of Tough As Nails (which is also owned by the Mulvany clan) and the dam is Love Is The Key (also a Mulvany mare) to keep it all in the one family. The owner is Larry Mulvany, father of the trainer.
"We thought she was unlucky in Galway as she was cut off when she was coming through," stated trainer Michael Mulvany.
"I told Gary to keep it simple and she is a good tough filly, like her daddy.
"She's entered up for Wednesday (at Gowran) and we might run because the handicapper might be getting ahead of her," he added.
So the message is simple - watch out for Silver Service at Gowran Park on Wednesday next.
