Easy win for Kiltale in SHC quarter
Kiltale strolled into the SHC semi-final today with a 5-18 to 0-10 victory over Longwood.
Kiltale were ahead at half-time by 2-9 to 0-5 as they enjoyed a good opening half.
Peter Durnin was the man in form with a return of 2-6 while James Kelly added the extra points.
Longwood's paltry tally came from three Anthony Healy frees and one each from play by Damien Healy and Karl Ennis.
Longwood made a bright start to the second-half with a brace of Anthony Healy points and one from Ryan Moore, but that was as
good as it got and KIltale just took over.
Ross Ryan, Padraig Kelly and a late Kevin Ryan effort accounted for the extra goals and the outcome was never in doubt with James Kelly adding five points.
Kiltale finished with 14 men while for Longwood it was 13. Eamonn Ryan (Kiltale) and Chris Lynch (Longwood) departed together while late in the game Longwood also lost Eoin Lynch.
