Calls made at Meath Co Board to redress 'imbalance' in Leinster SFC
Calls were made to reform the Leinster SFC at tonight's Co Board meeting at Rathkenny with Bective delegate Paddy McConnell saying something needs to be done to redress "a serious imbalance."
McConnell added that Dublin's dominance in recent years had reduced the Leinster SFC to an unattractive, uncompetitive event.
The theme was picked up by Leinster Council delegate Brendan Cummins who urged clubs to put forward proposals to reform the senior championship in the province.
Originally it was thought that Meath manager Andy McEntee would speak at tonight's meeting but he was unavailable and instead he will talk to delegates at the next Co Board meeting in Dunganny in early October.
