Neighbours unite to locate missing 4x4
Determined neighbours reportedly helped to foil a car theft in Navan last weekend when they found it hidden in a field.
An alert on social media pages was sounded after the silver 05 Landcruiser was taken from Simonstown on Saturday morning.
It's understood neighbours in the close-knit area reacted by driving around locally to scout for the missing vehicle.
It's believed it was spotted that afternoon hidden in field in the Donaghmore area with the keys nearby.
Anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area can contact garda at 046 9036100.
Meanwhile gardai are not linking the theft with a recent spate of robberies of Landcruisers in the north Meath area which saw up to ten vehicles taken during house break-ins within two months.
