Orange weather alert for Meath tomorrow
Met Eireann has issued a Status Orange weather warning for 13 counties including Meath from 5am tomorrow morning until lunchtime.
A wind warning is in place for Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare and Kerry as Storm Ali hits the country.
Storm Ali will track close to the west and northwest coast from the early hours of Wednesday morning until late afternoon with gusts of between 110 and 120 km/h for a time in some areas.
According to Met Eireann, winds will be strongest along Atlantic Coasts at first and later in the morning will extend further east.
The orange alert is in place from Wednesday 19 September from 5am to 1pm, with the warning then downgraded to a yellow warning until 5pm tomorrow evening.
