Lost Brothers shortlisted for folk award
https://www.rte.ie/folkawardsThe Lost Brothers have been shortlisted for Best Album at the inaugural RTE Radio Folk Awards. Their album Halfway Towards A Healing is one of ten albums down to a public vote which ends this Friday.
Halfway Towards A Healing was released earlier this year and has received widespread critical acclaim and reached the number one spot on the Irish i-tunes charts. The band have a been on a worldwide tour ever since its release taking in Australia and the US and an appearance on the Late Late Show.
The Lost Brothers, with one half bring Navan songwriter Oisin Leech and the other being Omagh native Mark McCausland, have also been shortlisted in the Best Group category alongside prestigious acts such as The Gloaming.
The Awards ceremony takes place October 25th at Vicar St. where The Lost Brothers will perform beside Christy Moore, Andy Irvine and more. It will be broadcast live on RTE RADIO 1 from 8pm October 25th.
The Solstice Arts Centre will also welcome The Lost Brothers for their now famous annual concert in Navan on Sunday December 23rd. Tickets are already selling fast to it’s advisable to book early for the Navan gig.
