Celebration time in Kilmessan, Ratoath and Carlanstown
The Queens of Meath camogie Kilmessan retained their senior crown for the 10th successive year as they held on to beat Na Fianna by 2-10 to 1-9 in a thrilling final at Rathmolyon this afternoon.
Na Fianna are closing the gap more and more every year and for long periods they looked capable of upsetting the champions in a game that was level five times over the hour.
However it was goals late in each half that proved decisive as Kilmessan held on to retain their title.
In the second game on the double-bill at Rathmolyon Ratoath made the most of their second chance in the Intermediate Camogie final replay as they scored five first-half goals en-route to a stunning 6-6 to 1-9 victory over Na Fianna.
Later in the evening it was the Ladies from St Michael's that were celebrating as they clinched the Ladies IFC title with a 2-7 to 0-8 victory over Donaghmore/Ashbourne at Skryne.
In the Ladies SFC semi-finals Simonstown defeated Boardsmill and will face Seneschalstown in next week's final after the Yellow Furze side saw off champions Oldcastle.
