Martina Cox to appear on Late Late Show tonight
Martina Cox, wife of Sean Cox, the Dunboyne man seriously injured in an attack in Liverpool while attending the Champions League semi-final at Anfield in April, is a guest of Ryan Tubridy's on tonight's Late Late Show on RTE.
Actors, historians and political experts are among the guests on this week's Late Late Show, Ryan Turbidy said on his radio show yesterday.
He will also be joined in studio this week by Dublin actor Allen Leech, who is best known for his role as Tom Branson in Downton Abbey, and starred in 'Omagh', made in Navan. Leech will be talking about the impact of the period drama on his career, and his new role in Bohemian Rhapsody, in which he plays Freddie Mercury's manager.
Comedian Des Bishop will be talking to Tubridy about the nation's obsession with Netflix and carvery dinners. Musical entertainment will come from Gavin James – who recently launched his album into space – and Bell X1.
Prime Time's David McCullagh will be delivering the RTÉ/Red C Exit Poll results from the Presidential Election.
Catherine Corless, the historian who uncovered details of a mass grave at the former Mother and Babies Home in Tuam, will join Tubridy to give her thoughts on the Government’s decision this week to initiate a forensic excavation at the site.
She last appeared on the Late Late Show in 2017, receiving a standing ovation from the audience after an extremely powerful interview.
All-Ireland winning hurler, Clare's Davy Fitzgerald, will also be in studio talking about his fiery reputation, sporting legacy and the new season of Ireland's Fittest Family, which kicks off on Sunday - and no doubt, his new book!
The Late Late Show airs on RTÉ One on Friday at 9.35pm.
