Ratoath won the Leinster Special Junior Camogie title today at Kinnegad with a 2-9 to 1-5 victory against Westmeath side Delvin.
The Ratoath players displayed great skill and determination and were worthy winners of the title following a stern test by a good Delvin side that batteld all the way to the final whistle,
Overall, this was an excellent performance from Ratoath and it was a bonus that Aine Cooke took the player-of-the-match award.
The journey into Leinster started for the Ratoath women when needed a replay to get the better of Kildalkey in the Meath Intermediate Camogie final.
They proved their quality that day in Rathmolyon when they blitzed Kildalkey with six goals.
They also proved they are capable of slogging it out and it was their one-point win over Wicklow side Knockananna that secured their place in
today's final against Delvin.
And once again they showed their scoring ability as they added the Leinster Club Special Junior title to their trophy display.
