Na Fianna goalkeeper brought to Eye & Ear Hospital after sustaining injury

Victory came at a price for Na Fianna goalkeeper Eoin Reilly today in the Leinster Club JHC quarter-final against Westmeath champions Crookedwodd at Trim.

Midway through the second-half Nav Fianna goalkeeper Eoin Reilly was forced out of the action in some considerable pain after he sustained an eye injury.

The accidental incident saw the sliotar go through the faceguard on the Na Fianna player's helmet and strike him in the face..

The player received prompt attention on the pitch and was then brought to the sideline in considerable pain.

He was then brought to the Eye & Ear Hospital in Dublin.

No further information is available at this time according to an official from the club.

Na Fianna won the game with Jonathan McCloskey taking over between the posts for the remainder of the second-half.
