Challenges ahead for Meath GAA Co Board
Delegates at next week's Meath GAA Co Board annual convention will consider the implications of a financial report that shows a surplus of expenditure over income of €105,402.
That reflects a dip of over €500,000 when a comparison is made to last year's surplus of income over expenditure of €408,249.
The biggest expense relates to Pairc Tailteann with the planning/feasability study incurring outlay of €453,051 on top of €130,108 that
was already paid out in 2017.
"In our opinion, the financial statements give a true and fair view of the assets, liabilities and financial position of the Coiste Chontae as at 31st October 2018 and of its loss for the year then ended," stated John O’Brien on behalf of Cassells O’Brien & Co in his report.
Overall gate receipts were down by over €21,000 (458,426 in 2018 compared to 481,644 for 2017).
Fundraising also dipped dramatically although it was a substantial €83,771 (€329,093 in 2017).
Club Contributions for Dunganny increased to €124,040 (€74,400 in 2017).
