Kilmainhamwood collision claims life of young man

A road traffic collision at Boynabought, Kilmainhamwood, Kells, last night, has claimed the life of a young man.

At approximately 8pm Gardaí attended at the scene of a traffic collision between two cars.

A 24 year-old male passenger in one of the cars was fatally injured, while the 24 year old male driver and the male driver of the other vehicle were both taken by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.

The road was closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place. The coroner has been notified of the death.
