Some superb shots of the Super Blood Wolf Moon caught over Meath this morning
Photography enthusiast Darlene Everitt saw an opportunity to capture one of the most highly anticipated events in the skies in recent times as the super blood wolf moon wowed spectators across the country in the early hours of Monday morning. The only total lunar eclipse of the year didn’t disappoint and neither did the Ratoath resident’s photography abilities, as this stunning image shows.
“I got up at 4 am and set up my Nikon P 1000 camera and tripod at the front of the house under the porch. I was really lucky that the sky was so clear in Ratoath and I was delighted with the shots. I got my first proper camera last Christmas and my main interest is wildlife photography but I knew couldn’t miss this chance. I couldn’t believe how well they turned out.”
Meanwhile Navan photographer Paul jones took to the Hill of Tara in the early hours of Monday morning to capture the Super Blood Wold Moon and create this composite image. Both images were taken last night. “Unfortunately the clouds came in and we couldn’t get the full eclipse,” said Paul.
