Trim pensioner's desperate search for missing moggie
An elderly man from Avondale Drive in Trim has been left heartbroken after his pet cat Trigger disappeared without a trace just before Christmas last year. Robbie Doris (77) was so desperate to find his much-loved cat, Trigger, that he enlisted the help of an animal communicator in the hope of making contact with his feline friend.
"He disappeared on the night of the 13th of December. He would normally come back inside the house after an hour or so and the odd time he might stay outside," says Robbie, adding "The next morning I was expecting to see him at my bedroom window as I normally would but there was no sign of him anywhere. I immediately knew that something was wrong.
Trigger has been with me for five years. He came to my door as a little stray kitten. At the time, I tried to find out if he had an owner but nothing came of it and he quickly became part of the family. He is a beautiful cat with a lovely temperament and it has been a tough few weeks since he left.
We have three other cats but he was the king of the castle. They all looked up to him and loved him. Our one-year-old tomcat really misses him. We all do.
I have searched everywhere. I am getting calls every day from people who think they have seen him but when I get there it's a false alarm or he has gone before I arrive."
So devastated by Trigger's disappearance, a friend of Robbie's tracked down Marese Hickey, an animal healer who has the ability to communicate with lost pets. Marese is a master energy healer and although her work primarily focuses on Reiki and spiritual healing for animals she has recently started to help people find lost pets.
"I was sent a photograph of Trigger and tried to tune into him to see if he was still alive. I got a sense from him that he was still in the area but sadly I couldn't pinpoint an exact spot," says Marese, adding, "Robbie got some leaflets made with Trigger's details and picture attached and distributed them in the area but as yet there hasn't been any success in locating him."
Marese explains how animal communication works.
"I go into a state of meditation and I imagine the animal in my mind. I connect with them on an energy basis and try to get information from them.
Missing...Trigger
Animals communicate with us on many levels already. If your dog wants to go for a walk they might go to the door with the lead in their mouth or run up to welcome you when you come in from work. There is a form of communication that is going on all of the time. We are all energy beings both humans and animals so you can connect on the energy grid. Animal communication is not about sending out energy, it's about being in a receptive state to receive the information the animal is sending to you."

Despite the lack of developments, Robbie is still hopeful that Trigger will be found.
"He wasn't a cat to wander, he would always stay around the neighbourhood. If I called his name out the window he would come flying across and come back in the bedroom window. I'd love to hear from anyone who has any information or who thinks they might know where he is.
I would immediately go to look for him. Someone might remember him as he is a unique looking cat with a white coat and black bushy tail. He is such an affectionate animal and has been great company for me. I have been looking for him every day hoping he will turn up. He's a special cat and never far from my thoughts. I'd give anything to have him back."
