New u-20 Development League revealed
Meath will face Armagh, Down and Monaghan in the Leo Murphy Cup section of the new u-20 Football Development League which will get underway on Wednesday 29th May.
The u-20 Development FL is designed to aid development by giving each county a number of league games in advance of the knock-out provincial championships.
Barry Callaghan and his selectors Darren Fay and Paddy Reynolds will be allowed commence training for the competition from 1st March.
Groupings for the various competitions are largely based on a geographical basis and where possible, avoiding repeat pairings from provincial Championship round one or quarter-finals.
The five competitions are the Leo Murphy Cup, the Philly McGuinness Cup, the John Kerins Cup, the Liam Connor Cup and the Andrew Corden Cup.
Meath will play in Group 2 of the Leo Murphy Cup with Antrim, Derry, Cavan and Louth in group 1. The top two teams in each group will play each other in the final whch is scheduled for Saturday 15th June.

Wednesday 29th May - Monaghan v Meath; Down v Armagh.
Saturday 1st June - Meath v Down; Armagh v Monaghan.
Saturday 8th June - Armagh v Meath; Monaghan v Down.
Saturday 15th June - final.
