Santa present for Dermot McLoughlin
Ratoath trainer Dermot McLoughlin also made it into the winners' enclosure at Leopardstown today taking the final race at the Dublin Festival with Santa Rossa
Santa Rossa followed up on a big-price win at Fairyhouse in December in the colours of owner and breeder Mrs Conway and today won the valuable Grade 2 bumper in fine style for jockey Finny Maguire - a young man with Kilmessan connections.
There was a Meath one-two-three to the finish with the Gordon Elliott-trained Bigbadandbeautiful in second
and Gavin Cromwell's Jeremy's Flame in third.
“She's only finding her way because basically the only two times she's galloped on grass is the two times
she's won," stated a delighted McLoughlin in a post-race interview.
“We'll let the owner decide where he wants to go and we'll have to look after her anyway," he added.
