Search is on for 2019 Meath Rose of Tralee
The 2018 Meath Rose of Tralee, Saoirse McGrath, was joined by Helen Leddy, sales and marketing manager of the Cusack Hotel Group, to launch the search for the 2019 Meath Rose. The selection takes place on Saturday 20th April at the Newgrange Hotel, Navan.
The Meath Rose Centre promises a fantastic experience for all entrants including many social activities in the lead up to a wonderful selection evening and an opportunity to make many new friends. The selection is open to young ladies aged between 18 to 28 years-old from all over the county who would like to get involved in a wonderful experience and meet new people. For the 60th anniversary this year - all roses selected at county level will appear on stage with Daithi O’Shea and be featured on TV. The festival has also increased the age range allowing ladies up to the age of 28 apply to be the Rose.
As 2018 Meath Rose, Saoirse McGrath from Skryne reflected on her year to date she describes the whole experience as ‘life changing’.
"The experience of being the Meath Rose is something I'll never forget for the rest of my life. It has provided me with endless memories, experiences and life-long friends! This time last year I was considering applying and bit the bullet and sent in the application. I have had such an incredible year so far! I would encourage anyone in the same position as I was in last year to do the same, I can guarantee you, you won't look back."
The lucky lady who will be chosen to represent the Royal County of Meath for 2019 will participate in the International Rose of Tralee Festival next August, along with receiving an array of prizes including jewellery from lead sponsor Tipperary Crystal and prizes from local businesses to support her year as the Meath Rose.
