Two people injured in Slane collision
Two people have been taken to hospital in Drogheda following an accident at Slane village this afternoon.
Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The collision between a car and van and trailer occurred on the Navan side of the village close to St Patrick's Terrace causing huge tailbacks of traffic.
The vehicles have now been removed from the scene but traffic is still moving very slowly.
Cllr Wayne Hardfing expressed his relief that none of the injuries were serious but said;"as soon as anything happens the tailbacks are horrendous."
He said whe would like ot get drone footage of the tailbacks in the village to show how massive they can be.
