Winners turn hosts for 9th Meath Style Awards
Last year’s overall Meath Style Award winners, Funky Fashion Frolics will host this year’s ceremony it has been announced.
The 9th Meath Style Awards takes place in the Headfort Hotel on 29th March and the delighted duo of Mike McCarthy and Paul Carroll promise to bring plenty of glitz, glam and fun to the most eagerly anticipated night in the style calendar.
“It is the greatest honour for both Mike and I to host the Meath Style Awards 2019 not least because it comes out in support of some amazing local businesses.
“One of our greatest achievements last year, was not only winning the Best in Social Media category for the second year running but winning the overall Excellence in Style Award for 2018.
“It was a huge platform for us and we were delighted to get the award. To go back this year as hosts is like icing on the cake.

“We set up the blog out of our love for fashion and to promote Irish design and boutiques. We never dreamt it would take us in this kind of direction but we are loving it. We now speak at fashion events all over the country and judge ladies days at the races.
“We are so thankful for all of the wonderful opportunities we have been given us over the last year.
“We are huge supporters of local boutiques. We had our own event recently in Tankardstown House which was a showcase of fashion from around Co Meath. These businesses have come through a recession and survived.
“With so much online shopping now we are really out to back the local boutiques. There is amazing talent in the county with jewellers, milliners fashion designers and so much more.
“We'd like to thank the Meath Chronicle and Mary McGuigan from Celtic Media for supporting us as well as the team at The Headfort, who always put on an amazing event. It's wonderful to have so many fantastic businesses as sponsors, especially the new ones on board this year. It is something Meath should be very proud of.”
