Piper Power opens Farmleigh series
The Farmleigh House Spring series opens with magical afternoon performance by uileann piper, David Power. A member of Irish music groups, Masters of Tradition and Pipers Union, David Power has performed in the off-Broadway show ‘Love’s Pure Light’, recorded music for the Irish Repertory Theatre’s ‘The Field’ and was a cast member and musician in the Broadway production of Eugene O’Neill’s ‘A Touch of the Poet’.
Join David for this St. Patrick’s Weekend concert of traditional Irish music, performed on the instrument whose musical practice was inscribed, in 2017, on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
