Athboy's Paul Leavy wants your votes to help win coveted Glor Tire title
The heat gets turned up this week on the six finalists battling it out for this year's 'Glor Tíre' title, to find the next new voice for country music in Ireland. With help from Ireland's biggest country music stars six contestants battle it out. Paul Leavy from Athboy carries the hopes of the Royal County.
All six finalists perform in the first elimination episode, live from the Quays in Galway, this Tuesday, 5th March at 9.30pm.
Based on the public vote the top four contestants will be safe and perform again. The two contestants will the lowest votes will perform in a sing-off with the judges saving one & sending the first contestant home.
This years finalists are:
Damien Davis from Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan who is being mentored by Jimmy Buckley
Ailish McBride from Creeslough in Co. Donegal who is being mentored by Ciarán Rosney
John Molloy from Tullamore in Co. Offaly who is being mentored by Michael English
Paul Leavy from Athboy, Co. Meath who is being mentored by Gerry Guthrie
Noreen Rabbette from Clara, Co. Offaly who is being mentored by Mike Denver
and
John Rafferty from Belfast who is being mentored by Johnny Brady
'Glór Tíre' produced by Gaelmedia is presented by Aoife Ni Thuairisg and Séamus Ó Scanláin, with help from the judges John Creedon, Caitríona Ní Shúilleabháin and Jo Ní Chéide who ably guide the contestants.
