Two men arrested after ATM skimming devices and 500 blank cards seized

Gardaí from the Garda National Ecomonic Crime Bureau assisted by Gardaí from Navan carried out a search of a house on the Slane road, Navan, this morning, (Monday 4th March), and arrested two men.

Gardaí seized equipment for ATM skimming including a fake ATM front, hard drives, receiving devices, soldering equipment, laptops, about 500 blank cards to be used for storing data copied at ATMs, sat navs, pin hole cameras, skimming devices and various ATM skimming paraphernalia.

The two men both Romanian nationals, (late 40s and late 20s) were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Navan Garda Station persuant to Section 50 of Criminal Justice Act, 2007.
