Good win for Navan u-14s
Navan u-14s came out on top by 17-12 in a tough and entertaining game against a very strong Carlow team at Balreask Old on Saturday.
Tries from Josh Williamson (two) and Cormac Kenny and a conversion from Max McKenna ensured the result,
But this was not a game of one or two performances rather a game that was won by the hard workrate of the full squad of players.
From the kick-off the home team pressed and carried well and despite initially going behind to a breakaway converted try, Navan, regained their composure and played some outstanding rugby.
Scoring two tries to lead 10-7, Carlow however struck again to lead 12-10, but Navan to their credit kept playing and the winning try came after huge pressure by the Navan team.
