Here's how the weather is shaping up for St Patrick's Day

If you're planning on going to one of the many parades around the county tomorrow, the advice is to wrap up warm as cold breezy conditions look set to continue.

Sunday, St. Patrick's Day is forecasted to be a rather cold day with bright or sunny spells and scattered showers. The showers will become more widespread for a time in the early afternoon with a few turning heavy, especially in parts of Connacht and Munster. Highest temperatures will be between 7 and 9 degrees in moderate to fresh west to northwest winds, increasing strong and gusty at times in the west and southwest and especially around heavy showers.

Bank Holiday Monday will start dry and bright in the east but cloud and rain will spread from the west during the morning. The rain will be mostly light though with good dry spells as well. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in moderate westerly winds. Staying mostly cloudy overnight with a few spots of rain or drizzle. Lows of 4 to 7 degrees.

Tuesday is looking similar to Monday; mostly cloudy with some rain but overall a good deal of dry weather. Maximum temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds. Largely dry overnight with just light breezes and minimum temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees
